Description

Oregon Golden Ale is the original Rogue brew dating back to 1988 and the days of the old Ashland brewpub location (which was destroyed by a flood several years ago). Deep golden in color with a rich malty aroma. Delicately smooth and crisp flavor and an herbal finish. Oregon Golden Ale is created from Northwest Harrington and Klages, and Maier Munich Malts (18% speciality grains, .19 lbs grain per bottle). Kent Golding and Cascade hops. Oregon Golden Ale is available in a 22-ounce bottle (the 12-ounce 6-pack is being phased out in early 2005), and on draft.Measurements: 13 degrees Plato, IBU 35, Apparent Attenuation 77, Lovibond 10.Shark Tooth Ale is a special 2001 bottling (22 ounce) of Rogue's Oregon Golden Ale. Enjoy this crisp, cool ale with a hoppy bite. Brewed in the Oregon Coast to the highest standards. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this ale supports the Oregon Coast Aquarium and its mission to expand our understanding of the oceans. For info on the OCA (OCA is where Free Willy, aka Keiko, was rehabilitated before his return to Iceland!), visit aquarium.org. If you visit Newport, the Aquarium is just down the street from Rogue's brewery at the Marina.
