How I Rate Beer
  • MarcusImes(17) had a Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti from The Four Firkins, St. Louis Park MN, and would definitely buy this again.505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesVery good Imp stout. The Oaked edition is a lot better than the regular IMO, but I love wood aged beer. Very thick but drinkable at the same time. Love what the oak does for Imp stouts. Very good for the cold winters here in MN.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Founders Ales Kentucky Breakfast Bourbon Aged Stout, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesIts rated as one of the best beers in the world for a reason. Pours like syrup. Drinks like oil, in a good way. I love it. I was trying to age some to see what it would be like in 5 years but I couldnt resist drinking it.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Nogne Red Horizion from Princeton's Liquors, and would definitely buy this again.505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesStrong ale made with sake yeast. 17% abv so share it with a friend. Very very good and interesting. The sake yeast makes it unlike almost any other beer around. not for the faint of palate. Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Nogne Sweet Horizion from Princeton's Liquors, Maple Grove MN, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesIts a ridiculously expensive beer ($16 for 8.4oz) but totally worth it IMO. I usually dont like sweet beer much but this one is Awesome. Dark fruit, raisin, brown sugar flavors up the Waz. Will buy again. Makes me want to try other desert beers.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast from The Four Firkins, St. Louis Park MN, and would probably buy this again.505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesA really good beer but not as good as Founders breakfast stout which is half the cost. Very thick, Very coffee forward. Dont get me wrong, its a really really good beer, you can just find equally good coffee stouts for cheaper. Worth trying though.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Great Divide 15th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA from Home, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesVery woody. Drink it when its fresh. Ive had new ones and older ones and like any IPA it should not be cellared. Very drinkable. well worth the $9.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Bells Oracle DIPA IPA from France 44, Minneapolis MN, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesOne of the best DIPA's around. Only got 1 bottle and have been missing it since. Explodes with hop aroma. Very hoppy but well balanced too. Hides 10.5%abv almost too well. Ill be looking for this in the future.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Surly 16 Grit (aka Abrasive Ale) from Cafe Twenty Eight, Minneapolis MN, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesOne of the smoothest DIPA's around. Ridiculous hop aroma, it explodes from the can as soon as you open it. Hides 9%abv almost too well. I'd drink it every day if it weren't $15 a 4pack. One of my favorite surly brews. Wish it was year round. Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Hanssens Experimental Cassiswith black currants from The Four Firkins, St. Louis Park MN, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesAn awesome and Weird brew if you like sours. its Funky. smells of hay, sheep, barn yard and dark fruit. Pretty sour. Unlike almost all other beers with the exception of the other beer in this line. Its Awesome and totally worth $17 a bottle.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Bacchus from The Four Firkins, St. Louis Park MN, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesAwesome beer for the $ ($6). many wierd flavors I cant exactally describe. Not too sour. Very good. Ive been back for more 3 times. Love it as a palate cleanser for hearty meals like steak and such or just alone. Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a sam adams infinium, and would probably buy this again.505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesDefinately worth trying. Lots of carb like champagne, flavors of pear, apricot and other light friut. Fun to drink something like this on new years, Bottle is awesome. Probably wouldnt buy many more only cause for the price I like other stuf moreOriginal Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a New Holland Blue Sunday Sour Ale, and would definitely buy this again.505 weeks ago.

Comments MarcusImesIve had 2 now. 1st was very woody, 2nd was less so. Let it warm up to just below room temp (~50-60*) It gets more flavorful as it warms. Good and sour. I love almost all sours so I love this beer too. Sour but not a gueuze sour. Very good.Original Comment

  • MarcusImes(17) had a Odell Woodcut Oak Aged Ale No. 04 from Home, and would go out of my way to buy it again!505 weeks ago.
